Commenting

L.I To go around and comment on other peoples blogs.

Today I commented on Chris's blog post. He was talking about prodigy in his blog post and what it is about. 

I learned by going and clicking on Chris's profile link and then commenting on his blog post. 

This Vs That

L.I To research the answers to the questions on the template. 

Today I did my inquiry which was a template which was called this vs that. It was a template where there were questions that ask about how much the Olympics are in common with us. We had to do this work with a buddy so we can get it done faster. 

I learned by going onto the google draw then sending it to my buddy. Then I started answering the questions on how much the Olympics are in common with us. 

My Little Boat Recount

L.I To make a recount showing us being in the boats perspective. 

Today I did my writing which was to make a recount showing us being in the perspective of the boat. We first watched a movie about a little boat surviving all the disasters that came in its way, also how he got fixed up and the two monkeys that was trying to weigh him down. 

I learned by making a google doc and then writing the story and retelling the movie but us being in the boats perspective. 



Five Ways To Solve A Question

L.I To make a google draw and make five ways to solve a math question. 

Today I did my maths work which was to show how you can solve a question in five ways. We first did this on the white board with Mr O then doing it on the computer. We had to explain and show how to do the strategies. 

I learned by making a google draw then explaining and showing how do to the five ways on solving a math question. 

Kiwi Can


L.I To listen to Mr Matt and Mrs Lily.  

Today I went to kiwi can to play some game and learn about respect. At kiwi can we first started off with our energizer. Our energizer was a game where we had to stand in a circle and Mr Matt would point to us saying either “Buffalo” or “Tiger”. We had to make the sounds and to the actions, if we don’t were out. Also if the person next to them or near them finches they are out too. The game was really fun and I enjoyed it. We then went onto our activity. The activity was where Mrs Lily would clap and we were able to jump away from the taggers. The game was really hard but it was fun. We then went on to our GKQ. Our buzzer was calling out our name and putting our hands on our head. We got asked a few questions which was easy at first but then got harder.  

I learned by listening to Mrs Lily and Mr Matt and following the instructions, also by try my hardest and having fun.

Raz Kids

LI: To read all the books on raz kids and get to higher levels.

Raz Kids is a awesome reading game. Raz kidz is a game where you can read a lot of books to level up. Raz kidz can also encourage you to read bigger books like chapter books in real life. In raz kidz you also get stars from reading books. You get 50 stars from reading a book. There are also questions you can answer after the book. If you get all those questions correct on the first try you get 150 stars. Second try then you get 50 stars. You can use the stars to customize your robot and put accessories on it. 

I learned by reading books and getting stars to give my robot awesome clothes. Along with trying to get to a higher level.





Tables Conga

LI: To do all my can dos.

I played this game called “Tables Conga” on my can dos. It’s a game where there is numbers scattered around the map. You have to collect the numbers exactly like how the time tables go and try not to get caught by the Conga virus. For an example if I am doing the 7 time tables then I have to get the numbers 7, 14, 21, 28, and so far and so forth. It’s an awesome game and very fun.  

Tables Conga can go up till the 9 times table and once you finished the times table you can go and proceed to the next times table. If you want you can switch your times tables by scrolling down and picking what kind of times table you want to do.Screenshot 2017-08-07 at 6.59.37 PM.png

3 Point Summary

L.I To make a 3 point summary explaining the who, the what, and the when, about niuean sports day.


Today I did a 3 point summary explaining the niuean sports day. I had to explain the who, the what, and the when. The niuean sports day is a national and special day for the niuean people. 

I learnt by making a google doc, then making a one by one table. Then by writing down the who, the what, and the when. 

When: After Christmas in Summer.

What: The niuean sports day is a special day for the niuean people to participate in.

Who: The Auckland Community


Winter Olympics 2018 Poster

L.I To make a poster about the Winter Olympics 2018.

Today we learnt about the Winter Olympics 2018. I first had to get into  group of four, in my group of four was: Alisha, Sione. T, and Fanini. We had to answer five questions about the Winter Olympics. The five questions were: Provide a map on where the winter Olympics is being held, how far it's from New Zealand, How long it goes for, how many countries are competing, and how much disciplines/events there are. We answered the questions by using our research skills. The whole point we did this learning was to learn about and get more knowledge about the Winter Olympics.


We learnt by making a google draw then sending it to the rest of our group members. We then started answering the five questions about the Winter Olympics to learn more about it.

Blog Graph

L.I To do a blog graph about the blogs I did in 2017. 

Today I did my maths work witch was a graph about how much blogs post I did in 2017. Once I've written down all the months that I've done blog posts in, I had to make the graph with the labels and the title. 

I learned by making a google sheet and then writing down the amount of blog posts I did in the months, then making the graph with the title and the labels. 

Five Sentences Recount

L.I To make a five sentence recount. 

Today for writing I did a five sentence recount about what I did when I went outside to play a game. We had to write one sentence in each box witch was Reveal, Events 1, Events 2, Events 3, and Ending. There was the title one but that didn't really count since it was the title. The game we played outside was a throwing game. The aim of the game was to try to get as much distance between the thrower and the catcher as possible, we also had to get into groups. We had eight people in two groups and seven in one. 


I learned by creating a google doc and then creating a table for the five sentences: Reveal, Events 1, Events 2, Events 3, and Ending. 

Title: Ball Throw.
Reveal: We went outside the classroom in the afternoon to play a game, we first had to get into a team of three where there is eight people in two teams and seven in one.  
Events 1: We then started playing the game, the game was a throwing game so we had to constantly throw the ball and catch it until the distance between the thrower and the catcher gets bigger.
Events 2: We got split into half so we can throw the ball and try to get a bigger distance between the thrower and catcher, we also couldn't move at all so we can get a bigger distance.  
Events 3: The distance between the catcher and the thrower was getting bigger really fast because we kept throwing and catching the ball really fast, sadly after the game was finished the girls won.   
Ending: The day was really fun because we got to go outside to play and have fun in a game, the game was fun because I like to throw and catch.

Kiwi sport

L.I To listen and follow instructions. 

Today we went to kiwi sport to play some soft ball. When we started the actual lesson we had to buddy up with a partner, once we budded up with someone else we had to g and stand in front of the cone. We got our softball and we practiced throwing it, we had to throw it with the hand we were comfortable with. Then with our other hand we had to point it to our buddy to get a prefect throw. Once we finished practicing we went onto our next activity. The next activity was where we had to be a crocodile, a crab, and a monkey. We had to be certain animals and try to roll and catch the ball. Lastly we went onto our final activity. The final activity was called "Fly Ball."  What we had to do was we had to throw the ball up in the air while our buddy tries to catch it. We then went onto the second phrase of fly ball, We had to throw the ball as high as we can in the air while our buddy tries to do as much claps as they can. It was pretty fun doing soft ball and I surprised myself that I could actually play it. 

I learned by listening and following instruction. Also trying my hardest and having fun.

Kiwi Can

L.I To listen to Mr. Matt and Mrs. Lily.

Today we went to kiwi can to play some games. When we went inside we had to get into four lines, then Mrs. Lily started us off with a good morning. We soon went into our energizer witch was "Freeze Tag." When we finally started the game we had some rules, they were: When we get tagged we have to stay frozen, until at teammate comes and tags you, next rule was we could only Pow-Walk. The game was really fun when we played it because when you got tagged someone can come and unfreeze you. Also sometimes Mrs. Lily calls out say either "Walk in slow motion" or "Walk in fast motion." Next we played a game called "Human Bowling," it was a game where we had to get split into two teams. Both team had to get into a formation of pins, everyone in the team had to become a pin and one of the players had to roll the ball. If the ball touched anyone they are out. This game was really fun and creative. Then we moved onto our GKQ witch means "General Knowledge Questions." Everyone that was in the front of the four lines had to go up and answer the questions that had to be answered, we all got a buzzer: one of witch was turning around like we were circling the world. 

I learned by listening and following the instructions given from Mr. Matt and Mrs. Lily. 


Creative Work Attribution

L.I To attribute creative work to the owner. 

Today we practiced attributing pictures from other people. Attributing is when you give credit back to someone else so its not like your stealing. We had to make sure we put a link to the actual website we got the photo from, then we had to put a link to the persons website, lastly we had to put in the license plate. 

I learned by making a google draw, then looking for a photo of choice, then next we had to put the link to the website we go the photo from, then we had to put a link to the creators website, lastly we had to put in the license plate.
