Kiwi Can

L.I To let people calm down if they are feeling or looking angry and furious.

Today I went to kiwi can. At kiwi can we had to get into three lines. We then went straight into our energizer. Our energizer was where we had to get into a group of four and we had to use our bodies to try to act out a playground, a airplane, a motorbike, and many more. We then went onto our lesson of the day which was what conflict means and what resolution means. Conflict means when there is a disagreement or argument between a person. Resolution means when you solve a problem. We then went onto our activity which was stuck in the mud. Stuck in the mud is a game where you are standing on one side and there is two taggers in the middle, the taggers have to yell out stuck in the mud and everyone has to go.

Kiwi Can

L.I To make sure I step away from bullies or let them calm down if they are angry.

Today I went to kiwi can. At kiwi can we first talked about our new topic which was conflict resolution. We didn't really learn much about our new topic but we did go straight into our energizer. For our energizer we played the game from last week which was called twenty one. If you don't know how to play it then this is how you do it. You have one ball and each time someone passes it to you it counts as a number, you can also hold the ball for two seconds to by time, you still count while the ball is being held. We then went onto our lesson of the day which is about bulling or some kind of bulling. We put our hands up to answer possibilities to make someone happy. We also gave answers on how we get angry and why we do. We then learned that if someone is very angry and is swinging their arms at you then just let them calm down. After that we went onto a game called guess the emotions. The four people in the front of our lines had to stand up and face us, they were not allowed to look at the whiteboard because the emotion was going to be written up there. Meanwhile everyone else had to act out the emotion and the front people had to guess. If they guess it right then they get a point. The game was really fun and I enjoyed acting out the emotions. We then went onto our GKQ. Our buzzer was to put our hands on our shoulders and say kuboo.

Kiwi Can

L.I To be a good role model and leader.

Today we went to kiwi can to play some games and to learn about new things. We first got into three lines and got into our energizer. Our energizer was to try to guess what is on the whiteboard. The people in the front of the line had to stand up and face our group, then Ms Lily wrote a answer on the whiteboard. The rest of the group had to answer only yes or no questions. The game was really fun and I enjoyed it. We then went onto our lesson of the day, our lesson of the day was being a role model and how we be one. We gave answer and examples of them and I learned that being a role model can really give you a confidence boost. We then went onto our activity which was where we had a ball and that ball was a bomb, it was also a counting ball. Our goal was to pass it around in a circle and if we reached the number twenty one and someone has the ball then they are out. We had fun with these activities and games, I also learned that being a role model is being a good person.

I learned by learning on how to become a good role model and the role models I should look up to.

Kiwi Can

L.I To never give up and keep trying.

Today we went to kiwi can. At kiwi can we played a few games. We first went right into our energizer which was called rock, paper, scissors. In rock, paper, scissors we had to some different things from the original rock paper scissors game, we had to get into partners and if each one of the partners win then the other partner has to go behind them and yell out the partners name. If another partner meets your partner then they have to play and whoever loses has to join the line, person with the longest line with everyone in there wins. The game was pretty fun and I liked that it was different from the original game. We then talked about giving things a go even if your shy, if you do give it a go then you'll learn a lot of things. We also talked about never giving up, you need to make sure that when your giving things a go you never give up. This will also give you a confidence boost. We then went onto our activity which was to try to act out a action to our group. This was to show how much confidence we have. The aim of the game was your group to first guess what you are trying to act. This game was really fun to do and I enjoyed my time. We then went onto our GKQ (General Knowledge Questions). Our buzzer was putting our hands on our head and saying our name, we got asked questions like what is the topic of kiwi can and what was our topic before, both answers were leadership and fairness and fair play.

I learned that I shouldn't give up and give things a try even though I am a bit shy, though I can learn new things which will be very helpful later on in life.

Kiwi Can

L.I To learn about leadership.

Today I went to kiwi can. At kiwi can we got a new topic, the new topic was leadership and our theme was positive relationships. We went on into our energizer which was a game called hammer. To play this game we had to get into a partner. Then the partners had to make first and put their hand on top of the other partners hand. Miss Lily will call out either up, down, or hammer. If she says down then if the partners hand is on top of the other partners hand then they will have to go down. Same with up but going up instead of down. Hammer means the hand that's on top of the other partners hand, they have to hit it. It was pretty fun and I had fun. Next we went to our activity which was similar to follow the leader. The leaders had to do an action and show the other person the action only three times. Then we had to tap the other persons shoulder and show them the action. The game was pretty fun and I enjoyed it. We then went on to play a game called master. Master is a game similar to GKQ but this time we had to go in a circle. If the master comes to you then you have to stand up and answer the question given.

I learned by following leadership and having fun. Also by trying my hardest.

Kiwi Can

L.I To listen to Mr Matt and Mrs Lily.

Today I went to kiwi can to play some game and learn about respect. At kiwi can we first started off with our energizer. Our energizer was a game where we had to stand in a circle and Mr Matt would point to us saying either “Buffalo” or “Tiger”. We had to make the sounds and to the actions, if we don’t were out. Also if the person next to them or near them finches they are out too. The game was really fun and I enjoyed it. We then went onto our activity. The activity was where Mrs Lily would clap and we were able to jump away from the taggers. The game was really hard but it was fun. We then went on to our GKQ. Our buzzer was calling out our name and putting our hands on our head. We got asked a few questions which was easy at first but then got harder.

I learned by listening to Mrs Lily and Mr Matt and following the instructions, also by try my hardest and having fun.

Kiwi Can

L.I To listen to Mr. Matt and Mrs. Lily.

Today we went to kiwi can to play some games. When we went inside we had to get into four lines, then Mrs. Lily started us off with a good morning. We soon went into our energizer witch was "Freeze Tag." When we finally started the game we had some rules, they were: When we get tagged we have to stay frozen, until at teammate comes and tags you, next rule was we could only Pow-Walk. The game was really fun when we played it because when you got tagged someone can come and unfreeze you. Also sometimes Mrs. Lily calls out say either "Walk in slow motion" or "Walk in fast motion." Next we played a game called "Human Bowling," it was a game where we had to get split into two teams. Both team had to get into a formation of pins, everyone in the team had to become a pin and one of the players had to roll the ball. If the ball touched anyone they are out. This game was really fun and creative. Then we moved onto our GKQ witch means "General Knowledge Questions." Everyone that was in the front of the four lines had to go up and answer the questions that had to be answered, we all got a buzzer: one of witch was turning around like we were circling the world.

I learned by listening and following the instructions given from Mr. Matt and Mrs. Lily.

Kiwi Can

LI: To listen and follow instructions at kiwi can.

Today at kiwi can one of our teachers named Miss Lilly told us that this week for kiwi can was going to be a fun week. So we can play games outside and inside. At kiwi can the first game we played was shark attack. We played "Shark Attack" in a different way than normal. We played it where there was two team and six or four people from the team has to come up. one of the six or four will be the runners and one of the other six or four people from the other team with be tagging you. The runners have hoops to stay in, but only for five seconds. While the tagger has a ball and has to pass it to their other teammates, whichever runner is close by the tagger yells out "Here!!" We then played a different game which was "Hit Down The Cone." We had to get into a circle and sit down while there was a person in the middle standing up with a cone on the ground. The person in the middle has to defend the cone while everyone else try's to knock it down. The people trying to knock down the cone can either pass it or hit by themselves. The people trying to hit it can also n sit down and roll it, not standing up on their knees. The next game was like "Tower Doge Ball" but this time we had to knock down each others towers. We had to make towers with our tam and have a bucket on top of them. We went outside and built it. Then we started the game. Only five players were allowed to play and the rest watched, when the round was over the nest people joined in and it went on and on until the morning tea bell rang. For the last game our team won
3-0.

I learned by listening and try my best to help my best to help my team.

Kiwi Sport

LI: To learn badminton and master it.

Today we went to kiwi sport which was taken place in the hall. When we got in there Kevin was there. We first played a warm up game which was stuck in the mud, but it was a bit different. If someone got tagged we have to free them by clapping between their legs and then they get freed. We then went into pairs and hit the shuttle to each other using the backhand and forehand grips.

I learned by getting a buddy and making sure I do the right thing by listening.

Kiwi Can

LI: To listen to Miss Latoya and Mr Malu during kiwi can.

Today I went to kiwi can and had loads of fun. At kiwi can we first got inside then we did our catch phrase which was "R E S E C P T find out what it means to me." Then we played untangled knots. It was very hard and confusing but we had fun. The next game was outside and we played a game of teamwork. First time we lost but the second time we went we won a lot of rounds just by spreading out and making sure who has the ball we block so we have the advantage. We did a lot of teamwork and won.

I learned by listening and following instructions.

Kiwi Can

LI: To listen to the two teachers that taught us at kiwi can (Mr Malu and Miss Lilly)

Today at kiwi can Mr Malu and Miss Lilly taught us a new catchphrase. The catchphrase goes like this "R E S E C P T, find out what it means to me." We also did an energizer. It was writing down three things I like about myself, the three things I liked about myself or no one else knew I liked it. For the first one it was "I like to run" the second was "I like McDonald's" the third one was "I like sandwich's" For the activity it was when we walked around in a circle and when the music stops there has to atleast be someone standing next to the cone. Then everyone else has to sit down and the person that's standing has to say three things they like about each other.

I learned by listing and trying to do my best.

Kiwi Can

LI: To listen to the kiwi can teachers and follow instructions, along with using respect, and good attitude.

Today at kiwi can there were two new teachers. At kiwi can we played a few games. The first game we played was where we had to do the actions and yell out what the animal will say. For example if the teacher said "Tiger" and he is pointing at me I would have to say "Roar!" As loud as I could while doing the actions. Then we played a game where we had to throw the hoop into cone. The cone next to us gave us 10 points, the coin a bit further gave us 20 points, and the cone furthest gave us 50 points. We ended up with 230 points. Then we did a GKQ. GKQ means general knowledge questions

I learned by listening to the two new teachers and doing the right things. Along with cheering and encouraging my teammates.

Kiwi Can

LI: To try to listen and participate in kiwi can.

Today at kiwi can we talked about risk taking. We had to it in a group, Miss Latoya and Mr Malo came around and said to us “What risks did you guys come up with?” my risk was “When you are doing cross country or cross country training you feel very tired so you can’t run, as you have a feeling in your neck that means you can't run anymore you have the ability to walk.” that means you are taking a risk at your breath.

I learned by listening to Miss Latoya and Mr Malo. Along with thinking of a risk.

Kiwi Can

LI: To listen to Miss Latoya at kiwi and show respect, participation, and teamwork.

Today I went to kiwi can and played two games. The two games was “The Hand Circle” and “Bip Bop Bounce”. The circle is a game where you have to put you hand over the person's hand next to you. Then when a person stomps their hand on the ground the hnd next to them has to stomp and then the next and so far and so forth. Bip bop bounce is a game where the person in the middle has to point to someone. The person that they pointed to has to say “Bang” before they say “Bounce”. If you say bang before they said bip or bop you are out.

I learned by listening to Miss Latoya and trying to stay concentrated. It was really fun at kiwi can.

Kiwi Can

LI: To use the kiwi can rules normally and use my respect, confidence, and self management.

Today at kiwi can we played a game called “Bing Bong Bounce” it was a very fun game. The aim of the game was if Miss Latioa said “Bounce” then you have to sit down. If you said bang before Miss Latioa said “Bounce” then you are safe.

We also played a game where we had four teams, each team was given a name and they had to try to make a kiwi can motto. Our team's name was “Keep It Real” and our kiwi can motto was where we put our hand against our chest making a “X” and then doing a one arm dab.

Kiwi Can

LI: to stay positive, participate in a game, listen, and have fun.

Today I went to kiwi can. At kiwi can we played three games. One was a selfie game, the second was a game where we had to put papers with different feeling written on them in order. Then the third was a question game where we were asked questions. One of the questions were “There is an electric boat with steam running behind it, with way is the steam going?” the answer was “There is no steam because it is an electric boat.” electric boats don’t have steam. The selfie game was a game where your whole team has to go to the middle and try to take a selfie of the feeling they were given. It was a lot of fun. Then we had a game where there were papers scattered around the room. We had to pick up the paper and lay them down in order from bad to good.

At kiwi can I learned that being respectful, being positive, and helping others can really help you to be more of a role model.
