L.I To understand the CARE Values.
Today I did my cybersmart which was to get into a group of four and make a google doc to write notes down for what CARE means. We had to go on a smart values site and in that site we had to choose one of the values that was there, the values were: Learning, Hope, Service, Cooperation, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, Caring and Joy.
I learned by getting into a group of four and then going on a google doc and writing down the one of the CARE Values.
I am in Year 5 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ, I am in LS1 and my teachers are Mr Wong and Mr Ogilive

Cybersmart
L.I To put work in the right folders and make sure our drive is clean.
Today I learned where to file my DLO's that I recently made. I also learned that we need to make sure our drive is clean so when people look at it, they won't see all your DLO's floating around. It's also good to make sure you have a clean drive because if you have almost a full storage of DLO's then your computer can't process much and it will be running slower.
I learned by first making a list of all the folders that we could possibly have and then discussing on where to file the DLO's. After that we filed everything away and trashed the thing that we don't use.

Keyboard Shortcuts
L.I To use keyboard shortcuts as a quick way around things.
Today I used keyboard shortcuts. We got a slide to use so we can test out how good we are with our keyboard shortcuts. We had to get into pair and that pair has to be someone from LS1 from last year and a room five from last year. We both had eight slides to work on.
I learned by first making a list of what shortcuts there are and what they do. Next by getting a buddy from room five last year and doing all the slides that tested if we could use the shortcuts properly.

Whats Inside A Blog Post?
L.I To show other people how to make a blog post.
Today I am going to show you how to make a blog post. In a blog post you need to make sure you have explained what you did and how you did it. If you don't explain how you did it then people won't understand it very well. If you don't explain what you did then people won't know what you did. You need to make sure you have a title too because if you don't then people won't know what you did. You also have to make sure you explain why you did it.

Creative Work Attribution
L.I To attribute creative work to the owner.
Today we practiced attributing pictures from other people. Attributing is when you give credit back to someone else so its not like your stealing. We had to make sure we put a link to the actual website we got the photo from, then we had to put a link to the persons website, lastly we had to put in the license plate.
I learned by making a google draw, then looking for a photo of choice, then next we had to put the link to the website we go the photo from, then we had to put a link to the creators website, lastly we had to put in the license plate.

Commenting
LI: To go around and comment on people's work to see if they made a mistake or not and to describe their work if it's good or bad.
Today I commented on Xavier’s blog post. His blog post was about his maths work on fractions. I also used a question, motivational sentence, and helpful advice.
I learned by going on the class sight and clicking on his Link on his profile. Then look to see if he had made any mistakes so I can give him helpful advice on what he needs to fix.

Commenting
LI: To comment on other people’s blog using a greeting, motivational sentence, a question, and helpful advice.
Today I commented on Xavier’s blog post. He explained in the blog post what he did at kiwi sport. He did a lot of interesting things so that’s why I commented on his blog post. I first had to read the blog post then comment about what he need to fix up or if his sentences make sense.
I learned by looking through what he had blogged about and choosing which one I wanted to comment on.

Smart Commenting
My learning intention is to know how to comment on other people's blogs.
I learned how to comment on Mary-Jane’s blog from Tamaki Primary school in room ten. I commented on Mary-Jane’s blog using a greeting, connection, question, and motivational scentace.
I learned by using four ideas for commenting. Greeting means you say a “Hello” or a different language “Hello” Connection means when you connect to their story so for example if they are writing about a dog you will make a connection like you have a dog too. A question means you ask a question about their story like. Did you quit the trip? Or did you quit cooking because you burned your hand? A motivational sentence means when you say “Great job!” or “Keep up the good work”
